Awesome! Thank you.

Eitan,

This download here is the same beta[1] version from February 10th that you have on http://code.google.com/p/openpandora/downloads/list
Right?

Thanks, Adoram

yes, it's still beta1

Amazing.
I like it alot better now.
Although, it says there's still a mini player on the "Features" page.
And what doe sit mean by paying user support?

eitan said...

@Jp
thanks. removed 'mini player' from features.
i guess paying user is one who pays for Pandora service. openpandora is a free wrapper of Pandora service.

Unknown said...

Ohh.
I forgot you can even pay for Pandora. Aha.

If one is running Hotspot Shield for accessing Pandora, openPandora 0.7.0 window is filled with ad banners.
Everything runs just fine with earlier version of openPandora though.

I have a couple of feature suggestions. As there does not appear to be anyway to submit them, I figures here would work.

It would be nice if the popup could show the thumbs up when the song starts.

In a simular vein - it would be nice to see in the tooltip that a song has been marked up. I seem to spend a fair amount of time opening up the full window just to check if I have already marked the song.

I didn't see a bug tracker anywhere so I'm going to post this here...

It seems that Open Pandora connects to Last.fm just fine and reports on the site that I am listening using Open Pandora, but... It keeps reporting the same song name over and over.

No, I didn't just listen to the same Tori Amos song three times. Seriously!

@ DavidDWill and Aaron, on the 'Contact' tab there is a email address for suggestions and bugs. [openpandora@gmail.com]

And I suggested the same think, with the thumbs up/thumbs down type of thing. Great minds think alike. Aha.

Nice work on the update! I've been sharing with my friends and they're loving it. Any plans to integrate with Twitter and/or Facebook? I know Pandora itself connects with Facebook, but wasn't sure if Open Pandora could somehow do the same.

The global shortcuts for changing stations [ctrl+win+pgup/pgdn/q] don't seem to be working, and the "stations" option in the menu is disabled. No proxy to deal with. Anyone else have this problem?

Unknown said...

The stations menu [when you have a station playing add variety and menu are under it] the options open up a new tab in internet explorer [or default browser].
It works, just not within the Open Pandora program.

Sorry, not sure I understand what "[when you have a station playing add variety and menu are under it]" means, but the "stations" option on the popup menu from the system tray icon is always disabled, even when I have a station playing. What about the gloabal shortcuts? Should the shortcuts to change stations and select the quickmix (ctrl+win+pgup/pgdn/q) be working? I have the global shortcuts enabled in the settings menu but those key combinations don't do anything.

Unknown said...

Ohhhhhh. I got it. Yeah, that isn't working for me too.

Those global shortcuts aren't working for me either.

Is there a way to reduce the size of the window to get of the top two layers (Your Profile, About the Music, etc etc)? Thanks.

Thank you!
I had only been able to sign up by using tab and haphazardly guessing my way through it, but now everything's visible.
The loading bar also seems more accurate now.
Thanks for giving people a chance at legal music!

I would love the Thumbs Up/Down feature. I spend a lot of time opening the full window checking to see if I rated it already or not.

A global shortcut for "I'm still listening" would also be helpful

I really prefer Kevin's version with all of the profile music and share buttons on the same row as the play/pause button. Could that please be reintegrated into the trunk? Had to switch because the title bar started only reminding me to update instead of showing song titles.

for anyone compiling it themselves on a 64 bit system make sure you force it to compile as x86 or it wont work since flash isnt supported on 64 bit browsers. Figured this might be of help to anyone else that runs into this issue.

Found a bug with the 0.7.0 release. The song title/artist isn't updating. It still says "Burn This City - Cartel" when that song isn't playing. Just wanted to let you guys know so you could fix it.

Any word on the the next release?

Thanks!
I love OpenPandora and I am very grateful for your work.

I'm curious as to why MiniMode was removed? I personally liked it since I just set it to always on top while I'm doing my coding. With the standard view, it takes up too much screen real estate.

I'm not inclined to move to the newer versions now... :-(

eitan said...

@John: the minimode will return in later builds. you can always hide to tray.

it works really well for me, and I thank you for it. The only problems I have are really high CPU usage compared to other methods of playing Pandora such as in Firefox or in Prism, and the internet explorer script error messages. Why not just use Mozilla stuff instead of Internet Explorer??

Unknown said...

@ Brian1027, because Mozilla sucks. Alot. I made a whole list on why it's overrated. Aha. [http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=457093364&blogId=484393032]

I can see only a blank screen for some reason. All of my tor settings should be fine since I can listen Pandora trough FireFox and Internet explorer just fine.

Is there some url I need to add to the .pac file or what's wrong?

I want the mini player back!

The new version that I was prompted to download when I logged on today (7.0 Beta) is NOT working for me at all. At its worst it doesn't play any music and at its best it plays 1/4 of a song before stopping. Anyone else experiencing a similar situation?

John said...

...went back to 6.9 and everything is peachy.

IQpierce said...

Can we get customizable global shortcuts? That would be a "killer feature" for me...

Nick said...

It'd be nice to change the tray app icon to let me know when OpenPandora is paused or playing.

missing Mini player as well.... great program though!
